Technical & Vocational Training
Deep down in the Ugandan remote rural communities, many youths are primary school dropouts making them vulnerable to join Bad peer groups, Early marriages and pregnancies, Drug abuse and other crimes like Robbery and theft. Most young parents are unempolyed, unskilled and operate stargering micro-businesses leaving them with no ample time to dedicate to educating their children and equiping them with skills that can enable them face their tomorrow’s challenges. When the educational system (both informal at home and formal in schools) for the youths is traced, they are early school dropouts wh are unskilled making their empolyability minimal and still the few who make it through the education system, they are only trained to be job hunters and not creators and these finanlly join their dropout friends in the villages whom together become alcoholics due to to unempolyment leaving the whole society in jeopardy.
According to Uganda Bureau of Statistics 2012, youth unempolyment (18-30 yrs) was 64% which was largely attributed to the unavailability of appropraite training curriculum to guide the few technical and vocational training centres a gap that has existed since Uganda’s independence in 1962 which is now a call for the Government to open up more vocational training centers with appropriate training curriculums to reduce on the the unempolyability of the youths.
Early technical and vocational training skills have turned thousands of youth into job creators which is why at CSHF, we strongly believe in sharing knowledge and imparting long lasting skills into the youth like Tailoring, Carpentry, Mechanics and Brick Laying.

Many youths in rural communities being school dropouts are unemployed and unskilled leaving them wondering about in the villages in pursue of what to do thereby ending up getting engaged in criminal activities like theft so as to get some money and others end up in smoking marijuana.
As cshf, we believe that its not late to discover and promote talents thereby reducing on the number of youths who are getting to waste. We are discovering potentials through Sports like soccer, Athletics, cycling and games like chess and puzzles which at given intervals we put small motivating prizes for the winners during competitions.
successful sports men and women are are always influential in the their communities and they can be great ambassadors of development in their home communities and also inspire the young talented to take on their careers seriously if they want to shine too through motivational and inspirational speaking engagements
