From Struggle to Service
CSHF was founded in 2015 by a young, mission-driven couple in the health profession. Their vision for the ministry was shaped not only by professional experience, but also by personal hardship.
Both founders grew up in poverty and faced many of the same challenges that vulnerable children in Eastern Uganda face today; lack of access to education, healthcare, and stable family support. These early life struggles deeply impacted them and became a powerful driving force behind their desire to make a difference.
Their childhood experiences planted in them a deep compassion and a commitment to serve. As they pursued careers in healthcare, they continued to see the devastating impact of poverty and illnesses on families and children. This only strengthened their conviction that no child should grow up without the support, care, and opportunity they themselves had longed for.
Out of this lived experience, and a deep faith in Christ, Cornerstone Hope Foundation was born: a ministry to break the cycle of poverty and bring hope, healing, and love to the most vulnerable.
